Specialty:Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Length: ongoing
Shift Details: 5x8
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-4:00p; Wednesday there is a staff meeting at 7:30a so will need to be there for that.
Work Details:
Support staff: Hospitalists assist with other medical management.
Amount of coverage needed per month: 3 weeks of coverage while provider is out of the country for family emergency
Patients per day: 8-10 (11 bed unit)
Patient population/age:adult
Department description:
EMR:EPIC
Hospital bed size: 134 beds
Special procedures: bread and butter inpatient rehab; joint injections, baclofen pumps, etc
Routine nonprocedural medical care for rehab patients
Skills required: see above
Practice Setting:
Hospital– all inpatient rehab unit in hospital – may get consulted on acute care side for a patient to see if they’re going to get admitted.
