Facility:
This facility features a 39-bed CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit that provides intensive rehabilitation services for patients of all ages recovering from strokes, spinal cord and brain injuries, amputations, complex trauma, and orthopedic conditions. The unit maintains a strong collaborative team approach with excellent support from hospitalists for medical management.

Opportunity:
Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician - Medical Director, Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit

Job Details:
• Lead a 39-bed CARF accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit as Medical Director
• Conduct daily rounding with therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses
• Oversee clinical quality and patient outcomes for the rehabilitation unit
• Work closely with hospitalist team for comprehensive medical management support
• Must be MD or DO, licensed and in good standing to practice medicine in Iowa
• Board certification required and must maintain certification through nationally recognized board
• Must be eligible for hospital medical staff in good standing, meeting all bylaws and credentialing requirements
• Demonstrated training and experience in inpatient rehabilitation required through one of the following:
• Completion of PM&R residency, OR
• Completion of at least one year of rehabilitation fellowship training, OR
• Completion of one-year hospital internship plus minimum two years experience as part of multidisciplinary team managing inpatient rehabilitation patients
• Full-time position with comprehensive leadership responsibilities
• 2-year guaranteed salary of $307,613
• $100,000 recruitment incentive
• Moving assistance up to $15,000
• Additional director and supervision compensation available
• $6,000 CME allowance with 4 weeks PTO, 6 holidays, and 1 week CME time
• PSLF eligible with comprehensive benefits and tail covered malpractice
