Physiatrist – Inpatient & Outpatient Rehabilitation

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Physiatrist (PM&R Physician) for a full-time opportunity providing a combination of inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient clinic coverage. This position offers a well-established rehabilitation program, strong interdisciplinary support, and a diverse patient population with an emphasis on inpatient rehab, spinal cord injury, and neurological/head trauma.

Schedule
Full-time: 5x8s, 5 days per week
Alternative schedule: Will consider 3 days per week
Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays

Outpatient clinic: Approximately 2–3 days per week
Inpatient coverage: Remainder of scheduled days

Procedures & Equipment

The outpatient practice offers a broad procedural mix with equipment available on-site, including:

C-arm and dedicated procedure suite
Spine injections
Joint injections
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Botox
Migraine management
Ultrasound-guided procedures
Integrated neuropsychology and cognitive testing

Patient Volume
Outpatient clinic: Approximately 15–17 patients per day
Inpatient: Approximately 5–7 patients per day, including rounding and consults
Patient population: Adults ages 18+

Clinical Focus

Candidates should be comfortable managing a broad rehabilitation population, with particular experience in:
Inpatient rehabilitation
Spinal cord injuries
Neurological conditions
Head/brain trauma
Combined inpatient and outpatient PM&R coverage

Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years, including both inpatient and outpatient coverage
Strong experience with inpatient rehabilitation and spinal cord injury
North Carolina license preferred
IMLC candidates will be considered
