Schedule: PRN | Monday–Friday Vacation Relief Coverage
Compensation: $80–$114/hour
Employment Type: Locum Tenens / PRN Contract

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Child Nurse Practitioner to provide PRN vacation relief coverage for pediatric residential psychiatric services. This remote/telehealth opportunity offers flexible scheduling to support existing providers during planned time off while ensuring continuity of psychiatric care for child and adolescent patients in a residential treatment setting.

The ideal provider will have experience working with pediatric behavioral health populations and be comfortable providing telepsychiatry services in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments for child and adolescent patients
Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications
Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
Deliver psychiatric services via telehealth platform
Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and residential treatment teams
Participate in treatment planning and clinical case discussions
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Monitor patient progress, safety, and treatment response
Provide crisis intervention support when clinically indicated
Ensure continuity of care during provider vacation coverage periods
Qualifications

Qualifications
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) required
Active California Nurse Practitioner license required
Active DEA registration and California furnishing license required
Experience treating child and adolescent psychiatric populations required
Previous residential treatment, inpatient psychiatry, or behavioral health experience preferred
Telepsychiatry experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ability to work independently while collaborating remotely with treatment teams
