PMHNP – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Location: Annandale, VA\
Start Date: November 9, 2026 (Immediate start preferred)\
Assignment Length: 13 weeks\
Contract Length: 3 months

Schedule

- 3 day shifts per week
- Weekdays between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- 8-hour shifts
- Remote practice setting
- Local candidates preferred

Practice Details

- Specialty: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Patient Population: Adults ages 18–80
- Patient Volume: Approximately 2–3 patients per hour
- EMR: eClinicalWorks
- Support Staff: Medical Assistant (MA) and social worker
- Special Procedures: None specified

Responsibilities

- Provide psychiatric evaluations and patient assessments
- Develop treatment plans and manage medications as appropriate
- Deliver ongoing psychiatric care and follow-up services
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in eClinicalWorks
- Collaborate with the medical assistant, social worker, and other care team members
- Perform clinical duties consistent with PMHNP licensure and scope of practice

Requirements

- Board Certification: PMHNP-BC required
- State License: Active Virginia license required
- DEA: Required
- Experience: Preferably 5+ years
- Certifications: As specified by the facility
- Provider Enrollment: Must be enrolled with Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, and Cigna
- Credentialing/Enrollment: Must meet the facility’s provider enrollment requirements

Additional Information

- Primarily remote position
- Local candidates preferred
- Provider must be available for 3 weekday shifts per week between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
