Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions. This role requires the ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and a solid understanding of psychiatric nursing standards. The Psychiatric Nurse will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and physical well-being.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
Perform medical procedures as needed, including suture, catheter care, specimen collection processing, and spinal tap.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals in settings such as PICU and OR to ensure holistic patient care.
Utilize esthetic laser treatment techniques when applicable, adhering to safety standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Advocate for patients' rights and promote a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities.
Qualifications

Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice.
Experience working in psychiatric settings preferred; familiarity with PICU is a plus.
Strong clinical skills including suture, catheter care, specimen collection processing, and spinal tap capabilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Compassionate approach towards patients with mental health issues and disabilities.
Knowledge of current psychiatric nursing standards and best practices.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively while maintaining professionalism.
