Inpatient Psychiatry Locums Coverage in Northern Arizona

Job description

A medical center in northern Arizona is seeking a psychiatrist for ongoing inpatient locum tenens coverage beginning in September.

The current priority schedule includes:

September 16–19 and September 24–27
October 9–11
November 23–29

Shifts are generally 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Occasional night call may be requested. These dates represent the ideal coverage plan, but physicians with availability for only some of the listed blocks are still encouraged to respond.

The inpatient unit includes 12 adult beds and four adolescent beds for patients ages 13–18. The patient population is approximately 75% adult and 25% adolescent, with an average length of stay of seven days. Two physicians are scheduled on each shift.

Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry and have at least one year of experience. An active Arizona license or current IMLC Letter of Qualification is required for this need. DEA certification is also required.

• Twelve-hour day shifts with select coverage blocks from September through November
• Adult and adolescent inpatient unit with two physicians scheduled on each shift
• Approximately 30-day credentialing for physicians with an active Arizona license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
