PRN Float Pool Psychiatrist
Contra Costa County, CA | Inpatient (IP) & Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES)
Responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients
• Manage acute psychiatric presentations in PES
• Provide coverage for adult inpatient psychiatry units
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner
• Support continuity of care during staffing gaps, leaves, or surge needs
Schedule & Coverage Model
• Strictly PRN / Per Diem
• No guaranteed hours
• Shifts offered based on facility need and provider availability
• Inpatient and PES coverage
• No call requirements outside scheduled shifts
