Correctional Psychiatrist - Full-Time Contract Opportunity

We’re seeking a Psychiatrist for a full-time opportunity supporting patients in a California State Correctional Facility. This is a great opportunity for a provider looking for a consistent Monday–Wednesday schedule while delivering meaningful psychiatric care.


Schedule & Assignment

Location: Ione, CA
Type: Locum Tenens Independent Contractor (1099)
Full-time: 30 hours per week
Monday–Wednesday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time
Minimum 6-month commitment with the option to extend
Start as soon as credentialing is completed


Minimum Qualifications

Active, unrestricted California medical license.
Active NPI
Basic Life Support (from American Heart Association ONLY)
DEA - California ONLY. Must not state ""Exempt/No Fee""
Criminal Background Check and Drug Test required


Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in correctional healthcare, forensic psychiatry, or secure institutional settings.
Familiarity with the unique clinical, operational, and security requirements of correctional facilities.
