Job description
We are seeking a Psychiatrist who is looking for more than a traditional outpatient role. This unique opportunity combines direct patient care, clinical leadership, and administrative influence within a supportive Community Services Board (CSB) setting serving adults with complex behavioral health needs.
With a flexible hybrid schedule, low daily patient volume, and the opportunity to mentor and support a growing team of advanced practice providers, this role offers the ideal balance of impact, autonomy, and professional growth.
Position Highlights
Full-time hybrid schedule
Onsite only 2–3 days per week
Tuesday onsite attendance required for treatment team meetings
Flexible scheduling with evening availability until 7 PM
Approximately 50% clinical and 50% administrative responsibilities
Low patient volume, averaging 4 patients per day

Leadership Responsibilities
Provide supervision and support for up to 4 Nurse Practitioners
Collaborate with and mentor a team of 9 NPs
Review clinical policies and provide psychiatric guidance
Sign off on prescriptions and clinical documentation
Participate in provider education and professional development
Serve as a clinical resource for complex psychiatric cases
Engage in interdisciplinary treatment planning and team collaboration
Clinical Practice
Treat adult outpatient patients ages 18+
Manage higher-acuity and medically complex psychiatric cases
Deliver evidence-based psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Collaborate closely with behavioral health professionals and care teams
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
Active Georgia Medicaid and Medicare enrollment required
Interest in both patient care and clinical leadership
Strong collaboration and communication skills
