Psychiatrist Needed in Newton, MA

Job description

Start Date: June or July 2026
**Assignment Length:** 13 weeks

**Schedule:**
Full-time, Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

**Position Details:**
Practice Setting: Inpatient psychiatric hospital
Average Daily Census: 33 patients
Unit Size: 45 beds
Patient Population: Adult
Patient Volume: Approximately 8 patients per day

**Clinical Scope:**
Treat a range of psychiatric conditions including bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and personality disorders

**Support Staff:**
Collaborative team including RNs, Mental Health Counselors, Psych staff, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Unit Coordinators

**EMR:** Epic

**Requirements:**
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Active Massachusetts license required
DEA required
Minimum of 1 year of experience

**Credentialing:**
Approximately 90 days
