Psychiatrist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Eastern Massachusetts

About the facility

This inpatient facility is seeking PRN locum tenens psychiatry coverage to meet the clinical needs of its adult patient population. The facility maintains a multidisciplinary support team that includes psychiatrists, NPs, and RNs to facilitate continuity of inpatient psychiatric care. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for all clinicians considered for this engagement.

Massachusetts offers a range of regional attractions spanning historic landmarks, outdoor recreation, and cultural institutions. Clinicians on assignment will find access to outdoor activities such as whale-watching, apple picking, coastal walks, and kayaking, as well as a variety of museums and performing arts venues throughout the state.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for an adult population, working day shifts Monday through Friday totaling 40 hours per week on-site. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management for adult patients within the inpatient setting. A caseload of 10-12 patients per day is anticipated, with an average length of stay of 7-10 days. No call or weekend coverage is required for this assignment.
