Adult Psychiatry Locum Opportunity – Detroit, Michigan

Position Highlights
Start Date: ASAP
Coverage Need: Begin with 24 hours/week, open to transition to full-time in September of 2026
Setting: Community Mental Health
Assignment Length: Preferred 6–12 month commitment with option to extend
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Lunch: 30-minute break included

Adult Psychiatry
Community Mental Health population
Provider should be comfortable managing higher-acuity behavioral health cases
Patient Volume
Average 12–15 patients per day
Appointment Types
Follow-Ups: 20–30 minutes
New Evaluations: 45–60 minutes

Ideal Candidate
BC/BE Psychiatrist
Community Mental Health experience preferred
Comfortable collaborating with and overseeing residents
Willing to supervise 1 Nurse Practitioner
Client open to discussing resident collaboration further during interview process

Practice Support
Strong clinical and administrative support staff
EMR: PCE Michigan CMH
