6 Month Locum Assignment- New York

Job description

-Board Certified is Required
-Coverage for 6 months through the end of the year with the option to extend
-Child and Adolescent Unit
-Monday - Friday Full Time -Coverage with Call
-On call schedule : 1:4 (1 weeknight/week and 1 weekend/month) Also carry the pager one weekday/week for admissions and consults. Weekend call requires rounds then they can go back to the hotel with the pager.
-100% Inpatient,
-Adult Unit is 18 bed with census of 11
-Child/Adolescent Unit census of 8
-Patient care is delivered with a multi-disciplinary approach.
The team consists of psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, mental health technicians
-There is a behavioral decision unit in the ED that has a crisis team in place. They work closely with the psychiatrist that is on call for the day.
