Perm Staff Physician – Adult Inpatient Psychiatry

Schedule: Full-Time Daytime Hours (Inpatient Coverage)

Weekend & Call Requirements: 1:6 Weekend Call Rotation

Facility & Clinical Overview

Practice Setting: 30-bed adult inpatient mental health service line shared between two psychiatrists.

Specialized Units: Mental Health, MICA (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted), and Geriatric Psychiatry.

Care Model: Collaborative, multidisciplinary care model including hospitalists, counselors, therapists, case managers, nurse practitioners, and fellow psychiatrists.

Patient Population: Diverse adult psychiatric patients with complex psychiatric, medical, and social needs.

Core Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based inpatient psychiatric care to adult patients.

Manage patient care across adult mental health, dual diagnosis (MICA), and gero-psychiatry units.

Work in coordination with hospitalists, specialty physicians, and community-based healthcare providers.

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and team rounds.

Share in the departmental call rotation (1:6 weekends).

Compensation, Bonuses & Employee Benefits

Base Salary: $318,449 – $354,957 per year (commensurate with experience).

Incentive Compensation: Productivity incentives and quality-based performance bonuses.

Bonuses: $25,000 Starting Bonus + $30,000 Retention Bonus.

Loan Repayment: Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible practice site.

Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements

Licensure & Certifications:

Board Status: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry [REQUIRED]. Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted.

State Licensure: Active New York State Medical License (or in-process eligibility) [REQUIRED].

Registrations: Active DEA registration (must be in-hand prior to start date) [REQUIRED].
