Staff Psychiatrist Garner (Raleigh), NC 27529

We are seeking a Staff Psychiatrist to join our group in Garner, NC. We are conveniently located in Garner, a suburb of Raleigh, just 6 miles south of the city. We are looking for a physician who can work independently in an integrated model and has some experience with child, adolescent, geriatric, and adult populations. Our ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, can handle complex situations, and is familiar with inpatient and residential patients.

The Staff psychiatrist will be providing expert medical care to patients with a range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Responsibilities include conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and evaluating treatment results. Duties include referring patients to medical specialists or counseling services and prescribing patients’ medications based on their condition. Responsibilities also include maintaining clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs/health conditions of the population served.

Education/Requirements:
• MD/DO must be board certified in Psychiatry and licensed in North Carolina
• Medical degree from an accredited School of Medicine
• Current NC State medical license
• Health board registration mandatory
• Familiar with inpatient and residential patients
• Some experience with the use of EHR preferred
• Ability to manage referrals and retain a good relationship with physicians in the community

Schedule:
• Full Time/Part-Time/Independent Contractor
• Provider is expected to be on site 3 to 4 days per week for at least half days with the option to increase to full time

Salary (range):
• $300,000 (full time)
• $150,000 part-time 20 hours per week
