Washington Psychiatry Locums Assignment | Inpatient & Outpatient

Job description

We are seeking a Psychiatrist for an ongoing locums opportunity in Washington State beginning August 31, 2026. This is a full-time coverage need supporting both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.

Opportunity Highlights:
• Ongoing assignment with scheduled coverage
• Adult patient population
• Both clinic and hospital privileges required -approximately 5 minutes apart
• Solo provider practice
• EPIC EMR
• BLS required

Schedule:
• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Clinic Days: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
• Inpatient/Outpatient Split Days:
Inpatient: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Outpatient Clinic: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM

• 5–7 inpatient shifts per month
• 12–19 outpatient clinic days per month
• Weekend coverage approximately once per quarter
• Occasional night call may become available, though no current call coverage is needed
• Some weekend inpatient telepsychiatry coverage may be performed remotely for providers residing in Washington

Requirements:
• MD or DO
• Active Washington license required
• BLS certification required
• Must provide documentation of at least 100 patient encounters representative of requested privileges within the past 24 months

Additional Details:
• Coverage need due to departing locums provider
• Fast-track credentialing available to support August start
• Thanksgiving week coverage is required; Christmas and New Year's weeks will be off
