Position: Psychiatrist (Adult Behavioral Health)
Location: Longview, Washington
Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient Psychiatry
Schedule: Full-Time Coverage with Optional Call
Start Date: August 2026

Schedule
Coverage includes a combination of:
Outpatient clinic days
Inpatient rounding and admissions
Hybrid inpatient/outpatient split days

Typical schedules:
Clinic Days
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
One-hour lunch
Split Inpatient/Outpatient Days
Inpatient: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Lunch
Clinic: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Occasional 7:30 AM start if court appearances are required
Weekend coverage:
Approximately once per quarter
Inpatient telepsychiatry coverage
May be performed remotely if the provider resides in Washington

Occasional night call may become available, though current coverage needs are primarily scheduled shifts.

Practice Details
Adult behavioral health population
Average 12–14 patients per day
Both clinic and hospital privileges required
Inpatient and outpatient facilities located approximately five minutes apart
Provider functions independently

Responsibilities include:
Psychiatric evaluations
Medication management
Inpatient rounding
Admissions
Ongoing outpatient psychiatric care

Current Coverage Needs:
Coverage is available beginning August 31, 2026, with ongoing needs through November, including:

Inpatient-only coverage
Outpatient clinic coverage
Combined inpatient/outpatient schedules

Holiday coverage requested during Thanksgiving week, with time off during Christmas and New Year's weeks.

Requirements
Board Certified Psychiatry
Active Washington medical license
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience
EPIC experience required
Must provide documentation of at least 100 patient encounters within the previous 24 months demonstrating current clinical activity

Practice Environment
Behavioral health program serving adult patients
Average daily census of 14 patients
Collaborative hospital and outpatient setting
Stable patient volume
EMR: EPIC
Combination of inpatient consultative work and outpatient continuity care
