Locum Psychiatrist (Adult)

Job description

Seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for a 3-month maternity leave coverage assignment beginning July 1, 2026.

This is a full-time, weekday-only opportunity providing care to an adult patient population in a structured hospital setting.

Schedule & Coverage

Monday – Friday

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Full-time coverage required

No weekends

Practice Details

Setting: Hospital

Hospital Size: 25 beds

Patient Population: Adults

Patients per Day: 11–16 (varies based on appointment length)

Clinical Responsibilities

Medication management (Med Checks)

Med Checks combined with therapy

General adult psychiatric care within hospital setting

Requirements

Board Certification in Psychiatry – Required

Willing to license - IMLC preferred or candidates eligible for WV temporary license encouraged to apply

Minimum Experience: At least 1 year

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days
