The Western Connecticut Mental Health Network (WCMHN), under the umbrella of the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), is seeking a motivated and mission-driven Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor (PCN 28045) to oversee our Outpatient Team and our Respite Program at our facility in Waterbury. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday
First shift, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Location: 95 Thomaston Ave, Waterbury, CT
Outpatient Services: Services include ongoing evaluation and assessment which are provided in a recovery oriented and culturally sensitive manner. The treatment team in collaboration with the client develop an individualized recovery plan to meet the individual's needs. Services may also include supportive counseling, individual and group therapy, and medication management.

The Respite Program provides short-term residential care for individuals who are homeless, awaiting acceptance to services, or are leaving the hospital. The Respite Program is operated collaboratively with Waterbury Hospital.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide administrative and clinical oversight to the Outpatient Team and the Waterbury Respite Program, including direct supervision of program Supervisors.
Collaborate with hospitals, law enforcement, courts, community providers, and substance use treatment providers to coordinate care and integrate behavioral health and substance use services.
Respond to crises, emergencies, and critical incidents, including participation in the after‑hours on‑call rotation.
Participate in high‑risk treatment planning, team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary treatment discussions to support coordinated, person‑centered care.
Promote trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented, and person‑centered practices across all programs and ensure services are culturally competent and responsive to individual needs.
Assist with program development, policy implementation, strategic planning initiatives, and participation in agency committees and leadership meetings.

The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect, and self-sufficiency in those we serve.

The Western Connecticut Mental Health Network (WCMHN) was formed in 1996 by the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), in order to coordinate clinical, fiscal and administrative oversight of Region 5 contracted and state-operated mental health services. Within this service system, there are three state-operated Local Mental Health Authorities, which are located in Waterbury, Danbury and Torrington. In partnership with the Western Connecticut Mental Health Network they provide and coordinate local clinical services. Over 200 staff including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation, vocational and mental health workers provide services for persons with a long-term mental illness.

Approximately 7,000 clients receive services in a variety of programs, including Peer Support Programs, Supported Employment, Homeless Services, Residential, Crisis Services, Jail Diversion, Outpatient, Case Management, Behavioral Health Home, Assertive Community Treatment Teams (ACTT) and Young Adult Services.
