Job description

The Licensed Psychologist is responsible for providing professional mental health care services to inmates/residents, including assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and record reviews
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
• Provide counseling and mental health interventions for inmates in crisis
• Perform regular rounds in segregation and confined housing units
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, physicians, social workers, and security staff to ensure continuity of care
• Monitor inmate mental health conditions and behavioral changes
• Utilize psychological counseling theories and techniques in treatment approaches

Requirements:
• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience, including one (1) year in a comparable position
