Locums – Pulmonary Critical Care ICU APPs Needed | Omaha, NE | Level 1 Trauma & Teaching Hospital
Job description
We have an urgent need for 1–2 Pulmonary Critical Care ICU APPs to join a leading teaching hospital in Omaha, NE. This opportunity offers exposure to both a Level 1 Trauma/Teaching Facility and a nearby Community Hospital ICU (15 minutes away).
Assignment Details:
Start Date: Early–Mid November 2025
Duration: 6–8 weeks (potential through end of 2025)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights, open to block scheduling)
Call: No call required
Credentialing: 4–5 weeks with temps available
Location Split: Main campus + occasional shifts at community hospital ICU
📌 Hospital Details:
Main Campus:
Level 1 Trauma & Teaching hospital
Strong support/resources: RTs, RNs, fellows, residents, pathology, radiology, MRI
Day coverage: 2 APPs + attending/fellows
Nights: Fellow on-site, attending on call
Community Hospital:
Stroke-certified, ICU-level patients (higher acuity sent to main campus)
APP works more independently (physician not always on-site)
Great team culture, strong RN/RT support
Requirements:
Experience: 2+ years in Pulmonary/Critical Care (MICU, SICU, Transplant ICU preferred)
Procedures: None required
Ventilator Management: Invasive, non-invasive, ECMO (not at community hospital)
Certifications: Acute Care Certified (ACNP / AGACNP)
Licensure: Compact or NE license required
Patient Load:
Main campus: APP ratio up to 1:6–8
Community hospital: APP ratio up to 1:5
