Tired of grinding through high-volume ICU shifts? Step into a Pulmonology locums role in the L.A. suburbs where you can practice high-acuity medicine without a crushing census. This 300+ bed community hospital offers a modern 18-bed ICU, in-house intensivist support, and a typical Pulm census of just 4–6 patients per shift—so you can actually think, teach, and round the way you were trained.

Schedule & Practice Details
• Start: Late 2025 / early 2026 (flexible for the right candidate).
• Shifts: 12-hour days or nights (7a–7p / 7p–7a).
• Coverage: Scheduled inpatient Pulmonology plus call.
• Call environment: Call-backs are described as limited; intensivists manage admissions and urgent issues overnight.
• Census: Typically 4–6 Pulm patients/shift.
• You’ll round on your own patients and work closely with the ICU team.

Responsibilities
• Inpatient Pulmonology consults and ongoing management in a high-quality ICU setting.
• Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary staff.
• Participate in rounding, consults, and care planning for complex Pulm/critically ill patients.
