📋 Contract Details
🔹 Specialty: Critical Care Medicine
🔹 Employment Type: Locum Tenens (1099)
🔹 Anticipated Start Date: September 2026
🔹 Coverage Type: Scheduled daytime coverage + overnight call
🔹 Schedule: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM in-house coverage followed by 5:00 PM–7:00 AM overnight call
🔹 Coverage Dates: December 24–26 (provider must be available for all listed dates)
🔹 Ongoing Need: 8–12 shifts per month
🔹 Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum 90 days
🏥 Site Details & Clinical Scope
🔹 Acute Care Hospital
🔹 Practice Setting: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
🔹 Solo physician coverage for the MICU
🔹 Average Daily Census: Approximately 8–14 patients
🔹 Procedures: Airway management, central line placement, arterial line placement, dialysis catheter placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion
🔹 Support Staff: MICU nurses, respiratory therapists, multidisciplinary hospital service lines
🔹 Assignment Highlights: Ongoing monthly coverage, manageable ICU census, strong nursing and respiratory therapy support
📋 Candidate Requirements
🔹 Board Certification: Critical Care Medicine
🔹 Active Kentucky Medical License required (IMLC not accepted)
🔹 Active DEA required
🔹 ACLS Certification required
🔹 Proficiency with ICU procedures listed above
🔹 CV must be submitted in MM/YYYY format
🔹 NPI required for name clear prior to submission
