Pulmonary Critical Care Locums Opportunity – North Carolina

Job description

Highlights:
• Ongoing 3+ month assignment with 12 hour day and night shifts
• Tertiary care hospital with dedicated critical care APP support
• Broad ICU exposure including MSICU, CICU, NSICU, STICU, CVICU, and Pulmonary Step Down coverage

Pulmonary Critical Care Locums Opportunity – North Carolina

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3+ months ongoing

Schedule:
• 12 hour day and night shifts

Work Details:
• Hospital coverage including general floor, ICU, and Neuro ICU
• Coverage for 73 total beds
• EMR: Cerner PowerChart
• ICU rounding with typical daytime census of 12 to 18 patients plus new consults
• Inpatient pulmonary and critical care consults
• Swing and night shift cross coverage with APP support
• Bedside procedures as needed

Advanced Practitioner Support:
• Two dedicated critical care APPs during daytime ICU coverage
• One critical care APP overnight

Required Procedures:
• Bronchoscopy
• Endotracheal intubation
• Central venous catheter placement
• Arterial line placement
• Chest tube insertion

Requirements:
• Board Certified in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine required
• Active North Carolina license and NC DEA required at time of submission
• Must be proficient in all listed procedures

Credentialing Timeframe:
• Approximately 90 days
