Facility:
This is a large, well-established inpatient facility offering comprehensive Pulmonary and Critical Care services to the Greenville, SC community. The facility operates a robust critical care program with 20 ICU beds, 12 CCU beds, and 6 CVICU beds for a total of 38 critical care beds, and supports a hospital pulmonology daily census averaging 40 patients. A multidisciplinary team of up to 3 physicians and 3 APCs cover the Pulmonary/Critical Care service on weekdays, ensuring strong provider support throughout each shift.

Job Details:

  • Locum Tenens coverage for parental leave, intermittently beginning February 2027
  • ICU shift hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday through Sunday
  • Hospital Pulmonary/Critical Care coverage hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Sunday
  • 100% inpatient setting; no outpatient responsibilities
  • Patient population is adult and geriatric; no pediatric or neonatal care required
  • Average daily patient census: 10-15 patients in the ICU and 10-15 patients in the hospital setting
  • Must be able to provide care for Intensive Care Unit patients and see general pulmonology hospital consults
  • No call coverage required
  • 1-2 providers needed
  • EMR platform: Epic
  • Board Certification in Critical Care required; Pulmonary preferred
  • Active South Carolina medical license required
  • Active ACLS certification required
  • Active DEA required
  • Fellowship training in Critical Care/Pulmonology required
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days (approximately 4 months)
  • Approved travel reimbursements include airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage at the IRS rate
