Facility:
This well-established faith-based healthcare facility serves the Greenville community with a comprehensive inpatient Pulmonary and Critical Care service line. The facility features 20 ICU beds, 12 CCU beds, and 6 CVICU beds for a total of 38 critical care beds, along with a robust hospital pulmonology program averaging 40 patients daily. A collaborative team of up to 3 physicians and 3 APCs supports the service on weekdays, ensuring strong provider support throughout the engagement.

Physician - Pulmonary Critical Care

Job Details:

• Locum to Permanent opportunity covering parental leave, with intermittent coverage potentially starting February 2027
• Provide Pulmonary/Critical Care services Monday through Sunday
• ICU shift hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Hospital coverage hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Care for intensive care patients across a 38-bed critical care unit (ICU, CCU, and CVICU)
• See general pulmonology consults for the hospital inpatient service
• Average patient census of 10-15 patients per day in both the hospital and ICU settings
• 100% inpatient practice setting; no outpatient responsibilities
• Patient population is adult and geriatric; no pediatric or neonatal care required
• No call coverage or call responsibilities required
• EMR system: Epic
• Active South Carolina medical license required with clean background
• Board Certification and ACLS required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days (approximately 4 months)
• Travel reimbursements approved for airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage at IRS rate
