Pulmonologist Needed in AK

Job description

Pulmonologist Locum Opportunity – Ketchikan, AK

Start Date: November 1, 2026
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Specialty: Pulmonology
Provider Type: MD/DO
Setting: Outpatient Clinic
Coverage: Approximately 0.25 FTE
Reason for Need: Coverage gap

Schedule:

* Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
* 8-hour shifts
* Initially 1 week per month
* May transition to 1 week every other month or quarterly
* No call
* No rounding or admissions

Practice Details:

* Adult and geriatric patients
* Approximately 14–16 patients per day
* Solo Pulmonology coverage
* No procedures required
* Family Medicine, Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Pediatrics available Monday–Friday
* Hospitalists and Emergency Medicine physicians available 24/7
* EMR: Epic — proficiency required

Requirements:

* Active Alaska license required at time of presentation
* BLS required
* Recent clinical experience within the past 24 months
* Must provide documentation/case logs demonstrating recent clinical activity representative of the requested privileges
* Recent training graduates may qualify for a waiver of the clinical activity documentation requirement
