Pulmonologist needed in Laurinburg, NC! Travel and Lodging covered!

Job description

• Coverage needed per month: 2 – 3 weeks
• Frequency of any Call needed: no call
• Schedule Details: Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm with lunch from 12p-1p; Friday 8am-noon
Work Details:
• Support staff: 1 Medical Assistant or 1 LPN
• Department Description: Ambulatory Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine Practice with 2 MD’s, Medical Assitant, LPN, Rad Tech, Respiratory Therapist, 2 Clerical staff, 1 Practice Manager; Practice is located across the street from hospital
• Patient Volume: 16 – 20 patients/MD/day
• Patient Age Group: 18 and older
• EMR/Documentation System: EPIC
• EMR/Documentation system experience – required or preferred?: EPIC experience preferred
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: in office PFTs, x-ray, and lab (LabCorp).
• Abnormal CT (LDCT, CT Chest, incidental finding on CT related to Chest), OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea), Lung mass/Lung Nodule/Cavitary Lesion, Fatigue/Snoring/Sleep Disturbance/Sleep Disorder/Daytime Somnolence, Acute Asthma Exacerbation/Asthma, Bronchitis, Wheezing/Dyspnea, Chronic Cough/Cough w/ tobacco use, breathing issues, shortness of breath/chest pain, atypical pneumonia, COPD/Emphysema, pulm fibrosis, abnormal PFT, Pulmonary HTN, sarcoidosis, oxygen evaluation, hemoptysis, lung cancer, sleep study/CPAP consult/CPAP follow-up, Fansera and Tezspire patients, PFT reads, sleep reads
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: Required in both Pulm and Sleep
• State License(s) / IMLC Req’d?: NC preferred due to time constraints
• Specific Skills Req’d?: Sleep study reads, PFT reads
• DEA Req’d?: NC DEA
• Minimum Experience Req’d: Experience preferred
Privileging Timeframe: ~45-60 days

• 26 weeks with option to extend
• On call required
