This regional medical center is a well-established acute care facility serving the East Texas community. The facility features a 26-bed department with a Level 3 trauma designation and strong support for locum providers, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced clinical environment.

Job Details:
- Locum Tenens coverage needed for the following dates:
- September 4, 7am - September 8, 7am
- September 25, 7am - October 2, 7am
- October 16, 7am - October 20, 7am
- October 30, 7am - November 4, 7am
- Additional future dates possible, approximately one week per month
- 15 patient encounters per shift in a 26-bed department
- Board certification required; active TX license or IMLC required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 15 days
- Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
- Nearest airport: Gregg County Regional Airport
- Critical care practice settings include:
- Medical: Cardiac arrest/failure, respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, OD/poisoning, and more
- Surgical: Pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardio/thoracic
- Trauma and burn critical care
- Critical procedures required:
- Insertion of PA catheter and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Temporary pacemaker placement
- ICP evaluation and management
- Dialysis catheter placement
- Lumbar puncture and paracentesis
- Pulmonary procedures required:
- Pulmonary function testing (performance and interpretation)
- Invasive and non-invasive ventilation management (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy, BiPAP/CPAP)
- Chest tube insertion, pleurodesis, and pleural biopsy
- Central line and arterial line insertion
- Thoracentesis
- Bronchoscopy: diagnostic (with endotracheal biopsy, transbronchial biopsy, bronchoalveolar lavage) and therapeutic (foreign body extraction, stent placement, laser)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
