Meet the Two MedicalMissions.org Physicians of the Year
The 2016 MedicalMissions.org Physicians of the Year have been announced. Both winning physicians responded in crisis to treat, teach and lead through medical missions work, helping the war-ravaged in Syria, earthquake survivors in Haiti and the uninsured here in the United States. The 2016 winners are Dr. Wael Hakmeh, a locum tenens Emergency Medicine physician from West Bloomfield, MI, and Dr. Roy Blank, a retired Internal Medicine physician from Charlotte, NC.

How Could CMS’ Patient Relationship Proposal Affect Radiation Oncologists?
In response to CMS’ proposal for the Patient Relationship Categories and Codes, ASTRO has written a letter to express its concerns about the lack of detail portrayed in the patient-physician relationship categories and codes in radiation therapy and reimbursement. ASTRO recommends the agency use a phased-in approach to define these relationship categories.
We will be exhibiting at this upcoming convention. We hope to see you there!
