About the facility

This outpatient cancer center provides dedicated radiation oncology services within a structured clinic-based environment. The facility is equipped with a brand new Varian TrueBeam system, linear accelerators, and on-site imaging to support comprehensive oncology patient management. Established clinical protocols and a full support team, including four radiation oncologists and a physician associate, are in place to facilitate quality cancer care delivery throughout the coverage period.

Buffalo offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of cultural, historical, and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. Notable destinations include the Buffalo Zoo, Buffalo Naval Park, the Canalside waterfront area, and the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site. Clinicians may also explore the nearby Niagara Falls State Park, which features the Maid of the Mist boat tour and Cave of the Winds, as well as Erie Canal boat rides departing from the region.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide clinic-based radiation oncology services on a day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no call requirements. Clinical responsibilities include delivering radiation therapy treatments, managing on-treatment patients, and conducting follow-up visits utilizing a brand new Varian TrueBeam system and linear accelerators, with imaging available on-site. All clinical documentation is to be completed through MedDent. Board certification in Radiation Oncology, prescriptive authority, and an active state medical license are required for this assignment.
