This General Acute Care Hospital is a Stroke Certified facility serving the greater Grass Valley community. The facility features a well-supported Diagnostic Imaging department staffed with experienced Radiology Nurses and Techs, and benefits from a large Radiology group in Sacramento providing overflow and after-hours read support.

Board Certified - Radiology - Interventional
Job Details:
- Provide hospital radiology coverage including interventional radiology needs, Stroke CTs, and additional imaging procedures
- Potential coverage in outpatient Building 4, requiring radiologist presence for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies
- Perform required IR procedures including Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy Tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, Chest Tubes, and Suprapubic Catheters
- Perform biopsies including Thyroid, Lung, and other tissue biopsies
- Perform lumbar punctures, barium studies, and various centesis exams with drains
- Supervise barium swallows and oversee placement of drains
- Interpret approximately 50 studies per day including CTs (12-15), X-rays (15-20), and Ultrasounds (8-12)
- Perform 4-6 IR procedures per day, predominantly non-complex and percutaneous in nature
- Support acute care imaging including Stroke CTs, ED, and ICU imaging studies
- Shifts are scheduled 8:00am - 4:30pm with coverage dates in October and November/December
- EMR system: Cerner
- Active California state license required at time of submission
- CA Fluoroscopy certification required at time of submission
- Board Certified or Board Eligible required
- BLS and DEA certifications required
- Radiology Residency required
- Clean malpractice history required
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
