Orthopedic First Assist PA Opportunity – Rancho Mirage, CA
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
Schedule: 3x12s
Coverage: Scheduled shifts with optional weekend or night call
Practice Details:
First Assist role in the OR
Support team includes the surgeon, another first assist, OR tech, and RN
No charting or rounding required
EMR: Epic
Cases include:
Spine: 3–4 cases per day
Total Joints: 8–9 cases per day
Primarily an older adult patient population (average age in the late 70s)
Work across 3 locations with 8 ORs
Requirements:
Master's degree required
Active California PA license required
General surgery experience required only if taking optional call
BLS preferred (ACLS and PALS also preferred)
Credentialing:
Emergency privileges available
