Registered Nurse Bridgewater, NJ
2 positions available- Pre-Op and PACU
Either full time or part time

We are looking for a motivated Registered Nurse to join our medical group in Bridgewater, NJ. We are looking for a Pre-Op and a PACU RN preferably with surgical experience, to assist with care out of our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Bridgewater. The full-time schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 7am-6pm but we can accommodate an RN looking for Part time (1-2 days per week) work as well. Duties will vary depending on Pre-Op and PACU, but the RN’s will provide comprehensive care to patients prior to surgery and recovering from anesthesia within our Ambulatory Surgical Center.

Duties (varies depending on whether Pre-Op or PACU):
• Ascertain that the patient has adhered to all preoperative orders
• Escort and assist the patient onto the recliner/stretcher in the holding area
• Obtain baseline vital signs, SaO2, pain assessment and monitor ECG if indicated. Notify surgeon and anesthesiologist of any abnormal values
• Check chart for Allergies, History and Physical, and Signed consent form for correct procedure
• Start and maintain prescribed intravenous fluids as per IV Therapy, Venipuncture Procedure
• Administer ordered preoperative and post op medications as ordered
• Oral report on the patient's condition shall be given to post anesthesia care unit nursing staff by a member of the anesthesia team when the patient is admitted to the post anesthesia care unit
