Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon needed in Aurora, Illinois

Level II Trauma Center located 45 minutes outside of downtown Chicago
Start date: July/Asap
Length of Assignment: 6 months

Coverage need:
2x8 hour days in clinic, 2 days in OR.
Clinic days are 8-5p
OR days start at 730a
OR are Mondays and Fridays

Call requirements:
Weekend coverage: 1 in 7 weekends. Alternate one day a week (Some weeks no call, some weeks one day).
Weekend shift times: Friday 5p- Monday 7a.

Weeknight coverage: Sharing with 6 other surgeons, some weeks will have no weekday call, others will have one night/week.
Taking phone calls from the ER.
Physician must also do a round, as bylaws state all patients need to be seen within 24 hours of admission.

Case mix / typical procedures:
Bread and Butter.
ACL/MCL/PCL, lots of knee and ligament, meniscus.
Hip arthroscopy case experience a must, as well as multi lig procedures.
Traditional Sports Medicine fellowship trained.

Expected volume: 25-30 patients/day in clinic (current average); surgeries depending case mix (8-10/week

Requirements:
Must have multi ligament procedures and hip arthroscopy experience.
Licensure: IL or IMLC required. Willing to take IMLC licensure candidates
DEA required
