Position Details
Full-time locum APP supporting the Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic (HPB) Surgical Oncology service
Inpatient coverage with involvement in perioperative care
Independent patient management with close collaboration with surgeons
OR assistance as needed
Performs procedures including wound care and drain care/removal
Clinical Responsibilities
Comprehensive inpatient assessments and daily rounding
Diagnosis and treatment planning in collaboration with attending surgeons
Ordering and interpreting labs and diagnostics
Medication and treatment management
Pre- and post-operative coordination of care
Patient and family education
Multidisciplinary collaboration and consultation
Requirements
Provider Type: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Licensure:
Minnesota license required for quickest start
NP candidates without MN license will be reviewed
Estimated licensing timeframe:
NP: 8–10 weeks
PA: 4–5 months
Experience: Surgical oncology experience strongly preferred
Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible
Scope: Inpatient surgical oncology (HPB focus)
