Cardiothoracic Surgery APP – Flagstaff, AZ
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Coverage Needed: Approximately 4 days per month

Initial Schedule Ongoing:
August 10: Orientation, 8-hour day
August 11: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM plus beeper call from 3:00 PM–7:00 AM
August 12: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM plus beeper call from 3:00 PM–7:00 AM
August 13: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM plus beeper call from 3:00 PM–7:00 AM

Work Details:
Hospital-based Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage
Support from a Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Manage approximately 10–15 CVICU/step-down patients daily
Approximately 1–2 surgeries per day
Adult and geriatric patients
Cerner EMR
Procedures include temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and arterial-line placement
Recent Cardiothoracic Surgery experience and strong EVH proficiency required

Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience with EVH
Active or eligible Arizona PA license
NCCPA certification or eligibility
DEA
AHA BLS and ACLS
The facility may also consider an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has completed an RN/NP First Assistant program and holds the required Arizona APRN license and national certification.
Credentialing: Approximately 30 days
