Locum - Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic Lincoln, NE

Job description

We are seeking an experienced, Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Cardiothoracic Surgery experience for a locum opportunity in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a hospital-based position providing 24-hour call coverage, including night call, phone consultations, and emergent operating room cases. The provider will assist in the operating room as a first assist, including vein harvesting, and support cardiothoracic surgical procedures. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR. Candidates must hold an active Nebraska license (or IMLC with LOQ), be Board Certified, and have vein harvesting experience, as this is a non-negotiable requirement.

• First Assist in Cardiothoracic Surgery – Provide OR first assist support with vein harvesting expertise required for cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
• 24-Hour Call Coverage – Cover 24-hour call, including night call, phone consultations, and emergent OR cases, in a hospital-based setting using EPIC EMR.
• Provider Leave Coverage – Multiple coverage blocks available in July and August 2026, with emergency privileges available during the 60–90 day credentialing process.
