This well-established hospital is a Level 2 trauma center featuring a 99-bed department, providing comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic surgical services to the surrounding community. The facility offers strong institutional support and a robust surgical program with a locums-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Thoracic Surgery - Cardio Thoracic Surgery

Job Details:

• Locums-to-perm opportunity providing comprehensive cardiac and thoracic surgical services with 10 patient encounters per shift
• Perform general CV/thoracic surgery including both open and endoscopic approaches
• Perform coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) both on-pump and off-pump
• Manage and repair congenital defects including ASD, VSD, and PFO
• Perform valvular repair and replacement procedures
• Perform aneurysm repair including cardiac and aorto-thoracic
• Perform lung resections including VATs and chest wall or pleural procedures
• Perform esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
• Place permanent pacemakers, AICDs, and left ventricular assist devices
• Perform TAVR procedures
• Manage ventilators and perform bronchoscopy
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABPs
• Perform general vascular surgery including open approaches; endovascular preferred
• Board certification required; ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
• Active Indiana medical license required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 45 days
