Facility:
This established healthcare facility is part of a major health system providing comprehensive cardiovascular services to the region. The hospital features dedicated cardiac operating rooms including 1 heart room and 1 hybrid room, with state-of-the-art equipment and experienced ancillary staff including first assists with endoscopic saphenous vein harvest experience.

Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:
• Hospital-based practice setting with 24-hour coverage (7a-7a schedule)
• Heavy cardiac focus required, thoracic experience preferred but not required
• Handle 1-2 cases per day on average with annual ER volume of 30,000
• Adult cardiac surgery including CABG, off-pump CABG, and arterial revascularization
• Perform heart valve repair/replacement surgery and mitral valve repair
• Conduct redo coronary revascularization with or without heart valve surgery
• General thoracic procedures including thoracotomy lung resections, pneumonectomy, and decorations
• Handle thoracic aortic aneurysms and surgical "open" aneurysm repair
• Perform tube thoracostomy, pericardial window, and tracheostomy procedures
• Conduct flexible and rigid bronchoscopy and thoracotomy lung biopsies
• Mediastinal surgery including mediastinotomy and biopsy
• Work with adult and geriatric patient demographics
• Utilize EPIC documentation system/EMR
• Must have Impella support experience (insertion/removal/bailout)
• Structural heart support experience in hybrid OR/cath lab required
• Board certification, BLS certification, and clean background required
• Kentucky license preferred but willing to accept candidates needing licensure
• Self-query NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
