This hospital is a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services to the Metro Detroit community. The facility features a Level 2 trauma center with state-of-the-art surgical capabilities and utilizes Epic EMR system for seamless patient care coordination.

Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:
• Assist in cardiothoracic surgery procedures in inpatient OR setting
• Work schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with rotational call coverage
• Call ratio of 1:4 with varying night call responsibilities
• Manage 4-8 adult patients per day in supervised practice setting
• Physician supervision required with physician present in OR during procedures
• Perform central venous and dialysis catheter placement procedures
• Place arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Conduct vascular tissue retrieval for bypass conduit and endoscopic retrieval
• Perform chest tube insertions and thoracentesis procedures
• Must have minimum 1 year cardiothoracic OR experience (no new graduates)
• Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required
• NCCPA board certification required with active Michigan state license
• Current ACLS and BLS certification through AHA required
• Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days
• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
