The facility features 2 dedicated CV Surgery ORs and utilizes Epic EMR, providing a modern and well-supported environment for experienced surgical specialists.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic
Job Details:
- Hospital-based practice setting serving an adult patient population
- Coverage needed for a minimum of 2 weeks, Monday-Friday with night and weekend call (7a-7a)
- 2 dedicated CV Surgery ORs available during daytime hours
- Average volume of approximately 1 case per weekend
- Must be able to work independently
- Required procedures include: Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery, CABG, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement, Tube Thoracostomy, Pericardial Window, Thoracotomy (Lung Biopsy, Lung Resection, Pneumonectomy), Thoracotomy Decortication, and Mediastinal Surgery
- EMR: Epic
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
- Active Michigan medical license required (must be obtained through full application process, not IMLC)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NPDB self-query required at presentation (must be pulled within 30 days)
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 90-120 days
- Travel, hotel, and rental car or mileage (IRS standard rate) covered
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
