A leading cancer institute is seeking a Board-Certified Thoracic Oncologic Surgeon for a locum assignment beginning August 2026.

Assignment Details
Specialty: Thoracic Oncologic Surgery
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts
2 clinic days
2 surgery/procedure days
1 flexible administrative/surgical overflow day
Shared call rotation among surgeons

Clinical Responsibilities

Provide advanced surgical care for thoracic oncology patients, including:

Lung disease
Chest wall disease
Mediastinal disease
Pleural disease

Procedures include:

Minimally invasive thoracic surgery
Robotic thoracic surgery
VATS
Advanced bronchoscopy
Endoscopic lung and esophageal procedures

Requirements
Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery or Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery
Active Minnesota license required
DEA required
ACLS-BLS
Minimum 2 years of experience required

• Performs a broad range of thoracic procedures including minimally invasive thoracic surgery, robotic surgery, VATS, advanced bronchoscopy, and endoscopic procedures for lungs and esophagus
