Job Details:

• Locum Tenens engagement covering multiple days per month while a permanent surgeon is recruited
• Responsibilities include rounding, taking call, and performing surgeries as needed
• Must hold an active Missouri medical license - licensure in MO only accepted
• Board certification required; credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days
• ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications are required
• Preferred cardiac and thoracic surgical skills include general CV/thoracic surgery (open and endoscopic), coronary artery bypass surgery (on and off pump), valvular repair and replacement, aneurysm repair, lung resection including VATs, esophagus and diaphragm surgeries, and chest wall or pleural procedures
• Preferred cardiac device and intervention skills include permanent pacemaker placement, AICD, left ventricular assist devices, TAVR, CABG, and IABP insertion
• Preferred procedural skills include bronchoscopy, vent management, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, and PA catheter insertion
• Preferred vascular skills include general vascular surgery (open and endovascular), aneurysm repair, bypass procedures, endarterectomy including carotid and renal, and subclavian steal procedures
