Facility:
This healthcare organization is a well-established medical center providing comprehensive cardiovascular services to the region. The facility features 11 general operating rooms and 2 dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms with Level II Trauma capabilities at the City Division, ensuring state-of-the-art surgical care and excellent patient outcomes.

Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:
• Provide locum coverage for temporary leave of absence from June 1, 2026 through July 13, 2026
• Hospital-based practice setting with rounding schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Average of 1 case per day with call coverage TBD (estimated 12-13 shifts per month)
• Perform adult cardiac surgery procedures including CABG and off-pump CABG
• Conduct arterial revascularization using internal mammary arteries, radial artery, and gastroepiploic artery
• Handle redo coronary revascularization procedures with or without heart valve surgery
• Perform additional procedures including pericardial window
• Utilize PowerChart (Cerner) electronic medical record system
• Work with comprehensive ancillary staff support including PA support in OR, nurse practitioners, and CTICU intensivist coverage
• Must maintain Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery with fellowship training
• Active New Jersey medical license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
