This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility that provides comprehensive cardiovascular services to the community. The facility features 20 operating rooms with advanced cardiac capabilities and is supported by a dedicated team of 3 physician assistants, ensuring excellent patient care and surgical outcomes.

Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:
• Provide locum cardiothoracic surgery coverage for gaps in call coverage
• Hospital-based rounding with 24-hour call shifts
• Coverage needed 10-14 days per month with average of 1 case per day
• Multiple coverage periods available from July through December
• Perform coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) procedures
• Conduct arterial revascularization using internal mammary arteries, radial artery and gastroepiploic artery
• Handle redo coronary revascularization with or without heart valve surgery
• Perform pericardial window procedures
• Conduct heart valve repair and replacement surgery including mitral valve repair
• Serve adult patient population at Level 2 trauma facility
• Work with EPIC documentation system and dedicated support staff
• Board certification and fellowship training required
• Active Ohio medical license with BLS/ACLS certification required
• Must be available for specific coverage dates and perform all required procedures
• 30-day credentialing timeframe with emergency privileging consideration
• Travel lodging provided at approximately $150 per night

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
