Locum - Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic Lima, OH

Job description

We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum opportunity in Lima, Ohio. This is a hospital-based position providing 24-hour call coverage for adult patients. The provider will perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, pericardial window, heart valve repair/replacement, and mitral valve repair, while participating in hospital rounding. The practice is based at a Level II Trauma Center with 20 operating rooms, utilizes EPIC EMR, and is supported by 3 Physician Assistants. Candidates must be Board Certified, have completed Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship training, hold an active Ohio license, and maintain BLS and ACLS certifications.

• 24-Hour Hospital Call – Approximately 10–14 days of call coverage per month at a Level II Trauma Center, caring for adult cardiothoracic surgery patients.
• Advanced Cardiothoracic Procedures – Perform CABG, valve repair/replacement, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, pericardial window, and mitral valve repair with support from 3 PAs.
• Well-Supported Surgical Practice – 20 operating rooms, EPIC EMR, 30-day credentialing, with emergency privileges considered for qualified providers.
