Cardiovascular Surgeon Locums – Arlington, VA | One Weekend of Call per Month

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Cardiovascular Surgeon for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Arlington, Virginia. This assignment offers a low-commitment schedule with approximately one weekend of call per month and excellent surgical support.

Assignment Details:
Location: Arlington, VA
Start Date: September 2026 (or ASAP pending licensing and credentialing)
Coverage: Ongoing
Schedule: Approximately one weekend of 24-hour call per month
Focus: Adult cardiovascular surgery call with occasional thoracic surgery coverage

Practice Setting:
Hospital-based cardiovascular surgery program
2 dedicated CVORs
EMR: Epic
Excellent APP and mid-level support

Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide weekend call coverage
Manage the full spectrum of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery
Evaluate and treat emergent cardiovascular surgery cases
Collaborate with the cardiovascular surgery team and support staff

Requirements:
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Fellowship trained
