Physician – Thoracic Surgeon (Locum Tenens)
Location: Vancouver, WA 
Employment Type: 1099 Locum Tenens

Schedule & Coverage

Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call Only

Call Details:

Weeknight call Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

One weekend of 24-hour call per month (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)

On occasion, 2 weekend call blocks may be needed per month

Minimum Commitment: 2 weeks/month

Facility & Practice Details

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

Beds: 420

Setting: Inpatient

Census: 5–10 patients/day

Support: NP coverage on-site Monday–Saturday during daytime hours

Why Open: Gap in coverage / urgent need

Privileges: Standard hospital credentialing (possible fast track)

Clinical Details

Procedures: Standard thoracic surgery (no robotics required)

Demographics: Adult patients only

Requirements

Board Certification: Thoracic Surgery – Required

License: Washington license OR IMLC with active LOQ (needed for quick start)

Willing to License: No (must already hold WA or IMLC eligibility)
